Did you know that Mars, Incorporated not only makes a surprising number of the goodies that tempt us in our grocery and convenience stores, such as Snickers, Twix, Skittles, Starburst, M&M’s, Altoids, Wrigley gum and – my childhood favorite – Bounty (thankfully for my waistline this one is somewhat hard to find, so I always get my fill during my visits home in Germany)? Mars also prides itself on being one of the leading companies in Pet Care, providing pet nutrition (Pedigree, Whiskas, Royal Canin, among others) as well as pet health, provided in, for example, the countless Banfield Pet Hospitals around the country.

Mars’ global headquarters are located right here in the heart of McLean, VA, and it was my great privilege last fall to head down the street for a headshot marathon in their beautiful garden where I spent two days taking fresh and joyful portraits of a total of 49 Mars employees and ten sweet doggies. Here are most, though not all, of them (as I respect the privacy of the associates who did not want to be featured).
