Sophia’s mom found me on google after a miscommunication with another photographer that ended in a disappointing no-show. Such a situation is no fun, but I am sooo glad she found me and that we had the opportunity to capture Sophia’s NCS Senior pictures on a beautiful and sunny afternoon in DC. As serendipity would have it, we realized in conversation that we each had a child who had graduated (virtually) from the same New England college last year, who both worked for the same University publication, and – at that point to nobody’s surprise – in fact knew each other. It’s a small world indeed.
We started the session with some secret garden vibes in Bishop’s Garden, the stomping grounds for National Cathedral School students, moved on to a slightly edgier look in the golden evening sun and ended with Sophia’s elaborate prom dress in front of the cathedral, just before the sun dipped too low. Here’s a selection of my favorites, many of which make me smile as I recall how much fun we had during this session. Sophia, keep shining, and all best wishes for your next chapter at UVA.

Hi Marion, We did so enjoy our photoshoot with you and love love the pictures. You are truly a master at your art and I appreciated how you coached Sophia through her first photo shoot watching her grow in confidence through the process. Love the blog, Libby (Sophia’s mom)
Wow these are all stunning 🤩
