I was so excited when these new parents reached out to me about an in-home session to document life with their newborn son, and even more excited when I learned that a fur baby is part of the family as well. That meant that cuteness overload was going to be guaranteed, and they did not disappoint. In just a couple of months, this little guy will be sitting in a high chair, pounding his little fists on the tray demanding more crackers, and after another couple of months he’ll be (dangerously) toddling around the house exploring every nook and cranny. It’s humbling to remember how much babies learn and develop in just the first twelve months of their lives, let alone the first three years. Perhaps we adults could learn a thing or two from them: continue to look at the world with openness, curiosity, and a sense of wonder; enjoy and delight in the little things; meet others without bias.
