I first met Olivia two years ago for her High School Senior pictures. That’s when I learned that Oboists make their own reeds. I still find the notion of creating your own tools for your craft immensely fascinating. (Like, what would the equivalent be for photography? Make my own lens?) Since then she’s spent time at Tanglewood in the beautiful Berkshires and now studies Oboe performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Here’s a sampling of classic musician headshots at the Lincoln on a very overcast morning; informal portraits featuring her elaborate tattoo which she had done in honor of her late grandmother who loved orchids and butterflies; a few shots with her lovely bf; and a proud mama shot at the Kennedy Center where we concluded our session.
