This was my last Lincoln Memorial Session before construction began in preparation of the big Semiquincentennial (yes, I needed to look this up) in 2026. Let’s hope the Lincoln will be at least somewhat accessible before 2026 to capture beautiful sunrise photos such as these from last June.

The days are very long at that time of year so a sunrise session means getting up and out REALLY early. In this case, this was true not only for the stunning Amani a couple of days before her graduation from McLean High School, but for the whole cheering section from Kazakhstan as well. I am always so grateful to my clients for trusting and humoring me. (And I must say it IS a great feeling to drive home from the office before 8am and feel super accomplished. 😉)
