Easter weekend presented a great opportunity to capture some updated family portraits for this extended family who gathered at the grandparents’ home from various out-of-town locations. With young kids and larger groups it’s important to work both deliberately and patiently. I visited their home and yard a few days before and made an exact plan of where I would pose the group for best light, backdrop and composition. So when the temperature took an unexpected nose dive ahead of our session 🥶 we were able to work quickly and with purpose (and finish before the much anticipated Easter egg hunt 🐇🥚🪺). This family rocked their pastels, and you couldn’t even tell that – despite the ample sun – we were kind of freezing our buns off during this crisp morning hour.
