If I had to characterize this session in one word, I would call it “sunkissed.” The summer sun made a very strong appearance after days of changing weather forecasts that kept us guessing. Rain? Drizzle? Clouds? Well, there it was, beating down on us as though making the point that no, summer isn’t over quite yet. Shooting in bright sun has its challenges. Meadowlark opens at 10 am, so an early starting time isn’t an option. If it’s sunny you just have to embrace it. And manage it.

I really love how these came out, they reflect Emily’s sunny and angelic personality. (Like me, she is the youngest of three with two older brothers, so I know for a fact that she is an angel.)

Emily, it was such a pleasure meeting and working with you. You rocked this session though I know your jaws were hurting a bit from all the smiling. I wish you all the best for your senior year at Yorktown HS. These are very strange times but with the support of your loving parents and community you (and we all) will get through this.
