After taking his sister’s senior photos a couple of years ago at this very location, I spent a wonderful spring morning with this fun college-bound senior – and look at the huge gallery we produced for him. We even found blooms that matched his Gonzaga HS tie right by the Supreme Court.

Clients are sometimes concerned when it’s an overcast day but the truth is that a cloud cover gives us so many great portrait options as we don’t have to worry about weird shadows or sun flare; in fact a veil of clouds doubles as a gigantic soft box spreading the light evenly and in certain locations (such as this with its large light surfaces), it’s downright ideal. So rest assured, I’ll take an overcast morning on Capitol Hill any day of the week!
