One of my favorite Senior Sessions from 2019 was last spring with this lovely young woman, Alannah, then a Senior at McLean High School. We started at the median of a non-descript street near my house that had some pretty pink blooms and then went for a fun walk in Georgetown, one of my very favorite venues for senior sessions. Georgetown is a mix of favorite, tried and true spots and chasing pretty light in unexpected places. One of those unexpected places was a VERY dingy looking alley which we almost walked past, holding our noses. But then I decided to give it a shot, and boy, am I glad I did – it yielded some of our very favorite images from this session. And I love a girl who is not just willing, but enthusiastic, to lie down on her stomach on some overgrown pavers.

I am so proud of Alannah who is now a second semester freshman at Brown University which, incidentally, is where my very own daughter is currently a second semester senior. Yes, the old adage, “they grow up so fast,” – it’s true. Don’t miss out on beautiful portraits before they leave the nest.

Alannah, I wish you all the best for what’s sure to be a bright future. Keep on shining.
